Some amazing news - ABC Pediatric Therapies Speech Therapy Clinic is bringing Babble Buddies to Ottawa parents!

We're very excited to share that Babble Buddies Circle Time will be offered in Ottawa through our clinic. This is a speech-therapist-designed early communication program for babies 0–12 months and their caregivers, rooted in science and guided by best practices in early speech and language development.

Babble Buddies is not generic “playgroup” or typical library circle time. It was created by pediatric speech-language pathologists to support early communication through structured interaction, song, play, and caregiver education.

Babble Buddies Circle Time is a 45-minute weekly class that supports early communication development through interactive songs and fingerplays, book reading strategies, play-based learning, and caregiver Q&A. These elements are intentionally structured to encourage babbling, back-and-forth vocalization, and early language skills that lay the groundwork for first words and expressive language.

Babbling and early communicative gestures are important predictors of later vocabulary and language outcomes. Supporting these foundational skills through responsive interaction and enriched language environments helps strengthen communication growth. What Makes Babble Buddies Different
