Our Team

Sharon completed her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa in 2003 where she currently teaches Communication Disorders in Special Populations and Assistive Technologies to Support Reading and Writing. She also teaches students in the speech-language pathology program at l’IHEPS, a Moroccan University. Over the years, she has had the opportunity and privilege of offering a variety of training courses and workshops related to autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and written language.

She also offers a wide variety of workshops geared towards parents, educators and clinicians, in French and in English. 

 

She has dedicated most of her career to working with autistic children, adolescents and adults, leading unique and innovating programs such as Camp Été Fou, a summer day camp that focuses on social communication skills. 

 

When her two youngest daughters were diagnosed with language-based learning difficulties (dyslexia and dysorthographia), she decided to deepen her knowledge in order to better support them. Work related to these difficulties has now become an area of practice she truly enjoys!

She's also a seasoned mentor of grad students and new graduates entering the field of speech therapy.

She founded ABC Pediatric Therapies with a mission and a vision of offering inclusive bilingual multidisciplinary services.

Sharon enjoys spending time with her four children and husband, travelling

and keeping active by playing a variety of sports.
